neglecting the blog

I seem to only post every couple of months. Life is good, Amelia is the sweetest most fun loving silly girl! She is running, laughing, and talking up a storm. She has been to Alaska and is going to Hawaii with her best friend Finn in 2 weeks! We are settling into our house and love the walkability of the neighborhood. I am going to work on short and sweet blog posts, so I don't get to overwhelmed by the project.

Amelia walks

The last ten months have blown by. I can hardly keep up with daily tasks because I am too busy hanging out with the coolest person I know, Amelia! She is growing up so fast, she crawls, and waves, and says mamma and dadda, she has four teeth, but I am really blown away with the fact that she has started to walk! I can not believe it, she seems too little, but she is doing it, first on Saturday May 29, then on memorial day she took eleven consecutive steps while dancing. I don't know how she got so big! She is really enjoying reading and loves books that she can lift flaps and touch different things. Jeremy and I have our running shoes ready because we have a feeling she is just going to go go go!!!

Sorry

Life has been very hectic with moving and I feel terrible that we have not posted any of our sweet little girl! She has been growing up, every time I blink she is a big girl! She can wave, she loves playing peek a boo, her first tooth is coming in. We bought our first home, which is still a maze of boxes and has been really hard to get organized and unpacked with Amelia.

If people want to come and hold the sweetie darling, so we can unpack, paint, landscape, clean, paint, unpack, go on a date ;), please come by!

Amelia has cereal

Amelia turned six months this week! I can not believe how everyday she is a bigger little person, very bittersweet. I wasn't sure that she was "big" enough to have solids just because she was six months old. I decided to see what La Leche League recommended and they seemed to think yes it was time. Amelia is definitely curious about what we are doing when we are eating, so really I think I was the one who wasn't ready. They say starting later can hinder them from being open to new experiences and I don't want that, so today she had breast milk cereal, it was fun for the whole family, she's growing up!

Four wonderful months with Amelia

Amelia has been with us for four months, this last month has been pretty exciting, she met the loves, went trick or treating, and has been smiling and giggling up a storm! Amelia got to meet her great grandma Clara, her grandpa frank and grandma Terri, her Aunt Ariana, and lots of cousins.

We spent Halloween at leaperville and went trick or treating, Amelia loved all the candy ;)! Nicole and Naomi definitely won the costume contest, or should I say Spot and Cruella.

Amelia has enjoyed the fire, and toys, and being more mobile, we've enjoyed it too! Everyday she gets bigger, everyday I love something new about her. Being a mother is wonderful, I love everyday I get to spend with my family! We never know what surprise the day is going to have for us.

Three months has come and gone

I know all parents say this and it's so true, they grow up too fast! Amelia will be four months old in a week and I can hardly believe it. So hopefully next week I will find the time to put up her four month pics, including Halloween. It is amazing to be a Mom, everyday is different, it is hard, it is wonderful, it is unpaid thankless work, it is the most rewarding thing I have ever done. Amelia likes to be held, all the time, out of necessity we started showering with her and she loves it, she turns into mush, she'll nuzzle down and nurse as the hot water runs over her back, it is adorable! Going back to work has been rough on me, but Amelia and Jeremy seem to have their routine and are doing fine with it. I have a feeling that they are going to be buddies and that Amelia will have Jeremy wrapped around her finger for a long time. Uncle Dan came to visit, it was really nice and he was very sweet with his little niece. We can't wait for everybody to meet her!

She's a keeper

It has been two months (plus) since we met Amelia, everyday is better and better! Time is flying by and yet creeping at the same time. She smiles all the time and although it is around the third month that laughter starts it seems so far away. She loves to be out and about from street fairs to Biketoberfest, she's a little social butterfly. She got to spend sometime with her Grammy Susan and of course the leaperville allstars. The drool, the tears, and the poopy diapers are all worth the rewards of snuggles and smiles. The pediatrician says she has the vision, head and neck control of a four month baby, that's right she's advanced!

One month with Amelia

I cannot believe that we have had this new sweet little girl for over a month. Everyday she grows a little bit and so does her personality! Amelia is a great sleeper, waking up only to nurse and get her diaper changed. I still cannot get over the fact that Jeremy is a Dad and I am a Mom, it makes me feel wonderful and old. Amelia likes outings she has been on 4 college tours, to Hawthorne Street Faire, the adult soapbox derby,a party, and Omsi! Amelia Francine Love

Leaperlove is proud to welcome the newest member of the clan, Amelia Francine Love!

Weighing in at 7 lbs 10.5 oz and measuring 20 inches long, Amelia made her debut July 20 at 5:42 am. She is absolutely amazing and is growing like a weed, at her 2 week appointment with the midwife who caught her she weighed in at 8 lbs 5 oz. Time is flying by and everyday our love for her grows. The dogs are curious, but only slightly :). It is amazing how little we can get done these days and I apologize to everyone who I have not called (I guess that is pretty much everyone)! I am busy and totally enthralled with this little being!

Leaperlove is growing and other adventures

I know many are logging in to see the baby we've been farming, and what a cute girl she is! Things have been going well, I have felt great during the pregnancy and the sleepiness seems to be easing (Sorry for all those who were sick with their babies). July is coming quick and we are still really unsure of names so send suggestions, please.

I recently went to see my family in Pennsylvania it was a blast, relaxing, adventurous, and silly of course. I miss my family so much and look forward to seeing them soon!I got my butt kicked at rummy by Callie "the cardshark" Nipper, taught my Mom to get on the internet, and walked through a giant heart.

Before we knew we were pregnant we partied it up when we went to see Annie Liebovitz speak (Thanks Craig and Nicole)! It was a great time and it was nice to get dolled up in the great dress from my mother-in-law Susan.I wanted you all to see Portland in white too and some silly leaperville antics.

Last, but definitely not least I made a trip to Sacramento at the end of October.
Hoping for a productive trip I ended up doing nothing except having a good time.

the rest of vacation and other adventures

Well i stayed in town, Jeremy and Susan went to Seattle suburbs for good times. i missed them dearly while they were gone, however i did have a new adventure of my own. This new adventure if you must know was I got a tattoo!!! Please, oh please do not tell my mother, i have given that wonderful women to many gray hairs. Tattoos hurt, but not to bad. i have really enjoyed my siblings they are great and i would be unbelievable lost without them. On the other hand my by marriage relatives have been a wonderful experience for me. My "in law" relatives, although our relationship is different, i would not give them up for the world. The dogs are great, Kloie is becoming quite the old lady, but she still has more energy than Ludwig.

dia day los dos y tres

Day three of my vacation was pretty fun! Slept in, drank coffee, and went shopping! I awoke to an empty house, just me and the dogs, oh so nice. Had an easy slow starting day which eased into an afternoon at the GoodWill where many deals were to be found and oddities to marvel at. Following the bargain hunt I arrived a home and began to cook my mothers' famous clam chowder with the help of my mom in law. We decided to invite the whole leaperclan which turned into chatter and laughter. Naomi and I played scary mean ghosts, while Katie was the nice polite ghost (Oh that Katie). Following our delicious dinner we (the leaper women posse and a love) went out for flashlight fashion in the Alberta art district, the styles were flashlighterific, but a little spendy following the earlier bargains at Goodwill. Local is always better and deals were to be found if only you were willing to sort through the triple digit price tags.

Day two the day was filled with errands and doldrums, however I did manage to have lunch at Dot's, one of my favorite Portland bars. The evening was just right for the movies, Jeremy, his mother,and I went to see Religulous this movie sums up all my feelings on religion, run don't walk to a theater near you!!!

Hooray I am on vacation! Most of it to be spent at home (Portland), so I thought you might like to come along.
